This page describes how TripSmith.tech (“we”, “the service”) processes information when you use the public trip planner. The operator is responsible for this website (see the legal notice).

What we collect

• Trip description you type — stored so we can show your itinerary and (if generated) a PDF. It may be processed by our AI provider to create the plan.
• Generated itinerary content — stored as part of your plan record.
• Anonymous session key — a random ID in your browser (localStorage) used to group visits for basic usage statistics. It is not your name or email.
• Technical data — when you use the site, our hosting environment may process IP addresses, timestamps, and request metadata for security (for example rate limiting) and stability. We do not use this to sell personal data.

AI processing

Itineraries are produced using an external AI API (OpenAI). Your trip text is sent to that service only to generate the plan. Do not submit passwords, government IDs, full payment card numbers, or other highly sensitive data in the chat box.

Cookies and storage

We use a small amount of browser storage (localStorage) for the anonymous session key and consent preference. Admin access uses a secure session cookie if you log into the operator dashboard.

Analytics and advertising

If you consent via the on-site banner, we load Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC) to measure usage and improve the service, and monetization scripts from Adsterra and Travelpayouts. These providers may process technical identifiers (such as IP address, user agent, and cookie/local-storage identifiers) according to their own privacy policies.

You can refuse optional tracking/ads scripts in the banner. If you previously accepted, you can clear site storage in your browser to show the choice prompt again.

Retention

Plan records are kept for operating the service and reviewing quality / costs. If you need deletion of data tied to a specific plan, contact the operator using the details on the legal notice page; we will delete what we can reasonably identify where the law allows.

Your rights (EEA / UK)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object or lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact the operator to exercise these rights.

We may update this notice when the service changes. The “last updated” moment is the date shown at the top of this page when we publish a revision.
